The mother’s role is not to follow the son in his journey, it’s to stay in the town, a place that is always accessible for the son. The role of the father is to motivate the son to reach what is inaccessible, but the father can’t be in the journey either; the father’s essence is not fully accessible when in the town, because the father becomes accessible when the son is in the journey itself.
