Veils Will Part — a poem

It is in the nature of things

Not to see the nature of things

How can an illusory self see Reality?

Can a fish understand water?

Could a single sperm ever imagine

The worlds it will birth and

The world it will be born into?

It’s like trying to look at

The back of your head

There are veils hiding

Everything of any import

Only a madman would attack

His own mirrored reflection

Yet we do it all the time

One day, we will sink into ourselves

And see everything differently

This truth will set us free
