They took over the streets. They carried their signs and their voices, loud and proud. They refused to accept backwardness, hate and ignorance as the new norm, because it isn’t. They were women, men, elderly and children. They were black. They were white. They were straight. They were gay. They were everyone who has a soul and who will not accept the tradeoff of catchy business buzzwords for social fairness and equality. They know the type of world they deserve to live in and the type of world they want to leave to their children. They will keep on marching, on protesting, on evoking change because even though they might have lost this battle, they surely will not lose the war. Keep on marching, keep on changing.
