Writing Poems in My Hometown
Three Haiku
I’m having fun back in Ireland catching up with old friends and groups, and discovering new groups and events too.
I was informed about this Haiku workshop by a woman in my creative well-being group.
We listened to some Haiku in English and Irish and then got some tips on how to write a good Haiku.
We all went to the nearby park for half an hour to take notes for our poems.
I will write an article about the tips another time, but I’d like to share my three Haiku with you here at Soul Travel.
Poets write poems
at People’s Park Dun Laoghaire
We are not alone.— Órla K.
Green grass at my feet
Hazy blue mountains and sky
The white boats pass by.— Órla K.
Many shades of pink
Salmon, series, and pastels
Summer approaching.— Órla K.
If you have any poems you’d like to share with us from your travels, we’d be delighted to read them.
Thank you for reading!
