What out do you do? Tell people about your business. You can use this on your social media profile in the About Me page or even as a slogan in your website or signature. It must be part of your brand that is easily recognizable.
This is a formula that we use to create our own statement. We want it to be easy to remember and would be perfect to send to colleagues and to the media so that people will understand the business niche that you are in.
People want to know more about you and your company. This is what we call the famous Elevator Speech. This is the 60 seconds that you need to make your speech.
- I help [public] + [benefits] = RESULTS. For example: I help online online entrepreneurs who experience social media overwhelm to maximize their marketing efforts and build a profitable business. When you follow this formula, you can cut all the fluff and focus exactly on what you do and what your business is all about.
- You must know who your target audience should be, so your pitch will land on the right ears. When you know your target audience, then you can speak directly to them. This is key because the clearer the message, the more people will agree with you.
If you cannot even describe your business, then you are in trouble. Layman English is best. Make sure that your pitch is memorable.
