Kolour LTD records last week released their 25th in the main label series, and in addition to a special RSD series, the US based label works hard to bring an unforgettable sound to the dance floor. The distinct artwork is always a treat to see in the release catalogues, when that sort of dodgy hip-hop looking spray-style text appears, you know you’re in for a deep slice of fun. We can expect to hear deep house with a sprinkle of disco from Kolour LTD; a sub label of Undertones and Kolour Recordings — who are a niche pocket of gold hiding deep within the quirks of the industry.

Keeping the sound suitable for a black box, the label host artists from Bicep to 6th Borough Project to more recent explorations with DJ Aakmael. Each bringing their own flavour to the journey over six years of deep disco edits and even deeper, naughty house gems. Kolour LTD are going from strength to strength with their sound, choice of artists and ultimate feel to the releases and commitment to keeping the underground alive. Long live Kolour!
