Usha Uthup is a famous pop-singer from India, whose voice is extremely powerful, so much when she was only a little girl she was thrown out of music class because her voice was too peculiar and clashed with all the other female and male voices.

Not receiving a formal training clearly didn’t stop her: Usha is a woman whom faced many challenges in her life and never shown signs of fear. She spoke Tamil since she was a child, one of the many dialects and shades of languages spoken in India, but speaking this language could have been an obstacle to her career, as not many people could understand it. She was seeking to be comprehended with her words by as many people as possible Preoccupied she wouldn’t realize her music dream with the language obstacle, she begun to study and travel and learned how to speak and sing in 15 Indian Languages, including Hindi, Punjabi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada and Telugu.

Not content enough she grew a knowledge of French, German and Italian that allowed her to sing in these languages too and begun her journey to success. Nothing is easy and Usha is the example that fear shouldn’t stop us from moving out of comfort, since in comfort nothing grows and certainly not our talent, that by witnessing as many difficulties and realities as possible is nourished with time. Struggle and rejection give us the tools to be great.
