Midnight City

Midnight City is a track off of electropop group, M83’s 2011 album Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. It’s a simple song that highlights the electronic sound. The lyrics are very basic and repeat throughout the song. It describes a car ride in the dark while the narrator observes a city’s skyline at night and tells about all of the lights and buildings.

Midnight City has a very disco like feel and goes heavy on the synths and electronic riffs, but this is M83’s style, Anthony Gonzalez, loads the songs with dream like sounds and electric background sometimes taking up most of the songs time (Intro, Outro…)
