“I Was Here”: Graffiti or Profound Declaration?

All of us, I’d wager, have had to use a public restroom at some point in our lives.

I would also wager it’s by no means anyone’s preferred place to answer nature’s call. However, there are times when we don’t have a choice, and a public restroom is the only means by which we may avail ourselves.

Rarely is this a pleasant experience. Men’s rooms in particular are sketchy at best, what with the frequent lack of paper products, vast amounts of water everywhere (seriously, why is everything wet all the time every day?), and instances in which someone found the toilet to be a mere suggestion.

It can be an interesting experience, however.

I would bet many of us have used a restroom in which the walls are covered with writing and/or carvings.

I found this particular gem in a men’s room in the CSU Monterey Bay student union…

And no, whichever girl whose number is on the wall cannot, in fact, be contacted for a “good time,” and shame on the people who suggest otherwise.
