Wow! Today was a lot of information. 2 very important topics and is why I chose to do this blog post to help me retain the information!

I liked how he started out talking about Risk and what it means to be a business owner. It’s definitely a downer talking about all of the worst case scenarios lol. However, it’s true we need to protect ourselves. The biggest takeaways for me was the reminder to get our Independent Contractors an agreement to sign and to ask them to list Solshine under their liability insurance. Also the advice on choosing a local independent agent so that local businesses can promote each other. I feel good about the coverage we have, my mom is actually our agent, so I had to skip the interview process! After that class I now realize that as we grow, our insurance should be an investment to consider when putting money back into the business. Thank you for all of the information!

As for Book Keeping, I am new to quickbooks but have somewhat of a grasp on it. Having someone reviewing our books will be important for us. I’d like to get to the point where I can look at the categories and #s and understand exactly how our business is doing. I plan on educating myself more on it! I am grateful that Eforall is introducing us to all of these professionals who are willing to help us all get started on the right track! We are also lucky to live in a time where business programs are more automated and we aren’t relying on paper and calculators lol #gratitude lol That’s all for me! Namaste
