Fall is right around the corner, but the warm weather isn’t over yet. Take a cue from three of South Park’s finest, and try out these refreshing cocktail recipes.

Barcito is a true South Park neighborhood bar and café. Its focus on the community shows within the four walls and beyond. On Barcito’s summer menu, you’ll find the Federal Fizz. This cocktail was inspired by Barcito Owner and General Manager Andrea Borgen’s recent trip to Distrito Federal, where it’s customary to drink mezcal with chile-spiced orange slices.

Ingredients:

1 oz orange juice
1 oz lime juice
1/2 oz agave
1 1/2 oz mezcal
1 egg white

Dry shake (no ice) for about 15 seconds, add ice, and hard shake until cold. Fine strain into a collins glass, top with ice, and add a splash of club soda. Garnish with a tajin-dusted orange wheel.

Insider tip… Barcito has eliminated tipping to more equitably compensate staff and, after recently broadening service to weekday lunch hours, breakfast is now served!

The Mixing Room, located off the lobby of the beautiful JW Marriott LA Live hotel, is the perfect place to people watch before a game or concert. Overlooking Microsoft Square, the bar’s patio is home to delicious street food-inspired pop ups on select game nights. The Bourbon Street is a refreshing summer cocktail from Beverage Director Matt Matsuno.

PRANK’s carefully curated cocktails reflect Co-Owner Dave Whitton’s 20 years in the restaurant business, working for iconic DTLA places such as The Golden Gopher and Seven Grand. They use organic ingredients in their food and libations, such as this refreshing summer cocktail, the Pabellon Ocho.
