Hi. Are you @ElonMusk?
I believe SpaceX can save our planet. Cheap.
My name is Mike Mongo and I’m an astronaut teacher.
Tomorrow’s jobs are in space.
What I do is give young students permission to live, work, and play in space.
My take is that in preparing to leave the planet for space we learn what is needed to stay.
(For instance, in space, sustainability and recycling are not options — they are mandatory, like drinking water and breathing air.)
(And the #1 challenge to go to space is the energy it takes to travel the 100 miles up. Solving for that we solve lots more than space travel.)
I have been teaching this to classrooms of students all over the world.
Imagine SpaceX fostering a whole generation of space-loving Felix Baumgartners, Emilie Graslies, Neil deGrasse Tysons, and Camille Alleynes.
A generation of students passionate about space and science — all united by devotion to the space goals and aspirations of SpaceX.
I created The Astronaut Instruction Manual for Pre-Teens. Aka The A.I.M.
The A.I.M. is presently being crowdfunded on Inkshares.
So like I said, SpaceX saving our planet. Cheap.
What makes it work is social validation. One book purchase. One tweet, Mr Musk. Something like this:
“I supported The Astronaut Instruction Manual for Pre-Teens. You can too. Tomorrows jobs are in space. http://kidastronaut.com”
In exchange, I will deliver thousands of future astronauts like these:
That’s it. Saving the planet and our future — for the cost of one book and a tweet. Best of all, it’s sustainable and long-term.
So Mr Musk, may I count on your support for my book?

And if you are Elon Musk (or another one of the important forward-thinkers at SpaceX), let’s talk: because we can change the world. One student with aspirations of living, working, and playing in space at a time.
