Space Impulse is excited to announce auspicious milestones for the space industry’s dedicated online marketplace. We have been working with early adopters to ensure the best client experience, and we’d like to describe two of them, one providing space industry services and another seeking services for a satellite launch.

Berkelyn is a New York City-based firm with a team of global experts providing legal, accounting, and investment management services and software to the commercial space industry. Every satellite destined for orbit requires contracting and compliance with international treaties as well as local laws, so Berkelyn’s insight into how online marketplaces can best serve in this critical process will significantly contribute to the platform design. Users of the Space Impulse platform will be seeking assistance and services on many fronts where Berkelyn has expertise, such as objects registration, compliance and compliance reporting, asset tracking and monitoring, secure off-planet data relay, downlink, storage, space real-estate, and more. This expertise is shaping how Space Impulse will efficiently facilitate online engagement for all participants in the space industry supply chain.

A marketplace is essentially comprised of buyers and sellers, and Berkelyn is providing particular insight from the seller’s point of view. For the buyer point of view, our star early adopter is a well-funded startup that has created a mapping services technology for the rapidly growing and soon-to-be-huge autonomous transportation market. Be the first to know the details of this amazing project by signing up for an early-bird membership when the platform launches!

Space Impulse is building a marketplace, and marketplaces thrive once they become communities. But of course we are not alone! There are many great communities growing around space industry themes, one of which is ACCESS.SPACE. Space Impulse is proud to have become a member of ACCESS.SPACE to participate in a broad agenda for advancing many aspects of the space industry through networking, collaboration, and cooperation.

And finally, as we enter the final stretch toward imminent launch of the Space Impulse platform, we are proud to welcome the newest members of the Space Impulse team, Niki Ram and Pete Biggam, based in San Francisco, California.

Niki Ram joins as our Regional Director for North America. Niki is a successful entrepreneur and leader having worked as a Public Affairs Specialist and Lobbyist at the House of Commons of the UK and as a Senior Researcher at CNBC. Niki holds an MSc. in Business Administration from Saïd Business School (University of Oxford) and a Masters in International Business from HEC (Paris). She’s also a Singularity University alumna (Fall’18 @ NASA Ames).

Pete Biggam joins our team as Chief Product Officer. Pete brings an impressive track record as an entrepreneur on multiple ventures in the fields of information security, blockchain, and space technology (Blacksite.Solutions, SignageTECH, Hubvery, and SPAC3.TECH). Pete has been part of Startup Grind as a Director for the past 4+ years, the world’s largest independent startup community, and also consults on the future Monterey Bay Regional Spaceport. He is an MIT Emeritus Entrepreneurship (Spring’18) and Singularity University (Fall’18 @ NASA Ames) alumnus.

Niki and Pete will be representing Space Impulse at the Space Tech Summit taking place in Santa Clara on July 11th. Please say hello to them at the event and learn more about our mission to streamline Space Commerce.

And this is just a hint of many exciting developments for Space Impulse in the last month! Stay tuned for the platform launch in just a few weeks ahead!
