Behind the Scenes of Fintech: The Story of Hubble James Webb Team at Space International
As part of the Hubble tribe, our team, named James Webb, draws inspiration from the Hubble Space Telescope, which was designed to explore the early universe and discover the first galaxies. Our team’s focus is on cash loans — ICL (Instant Cash Loans), specifically tailored for the Uzbekistan market. We are responsible for managing all aspects of the cash loan process, from handling new requirements and supporting production to ensuring optimal performance, managing the application flow, overseeing accounting procedures, and coordinating the collection process. Our team is dedicated to providing end-to-end solutions for cash loans in Uzbekistan.
One of the significant milestones for our team was transitioning from the CBS (Core Banking System) to the Mambu platform. This change brought numerous benefits, especially for our internal team. We successfully migrated the entire portfolio to the Mambu platform without causing any disruptions to our customers. This was a great achievement as it allowed us to enhance our internal operations and provide a more seamless experience for our customers.
We rely on several external services during the loan application process for our customers. However, there were instances where delays, previously, if an application was interrupted, customers had to fill out the entire form again, causing inconvenience for both the customer and our team. To address this issue, we made the decision to transition the loan process from synchronous to asynchronous. Instead of waiting for external services, we now inform customers that their application is accepted, even if some services are temporarily unavailable. This makes the process faster and more convenient. This success in streamlining the loan process and improving the overall user experience is an accomplishment that deserves recognition.
We are proud of our collaboration with Payme, a leading mobile payment application in Uzbekistan. Through this partnership, Payme users now have the opportunity to access loans without needing an account in our banking application. The entire process takes just five minutes, making it a highly innovative and convenient option for customers. This collaboration has brought together the strengths of both platforms to deliver a seamless and user-friendly loan experience.
Our team consists of over 24 individuals with diverse competencies. We have a tech lead, product owner, system analysts, back-end developers, iOS developers, Android developers, automation engineers, QA specialists, UI/UX designers, and a scrum master. This cross-functional team structure enables us to effectively handle various tasks and ensures that we have the necessary expertise for each project.

Some of us have even dedicated nights to ensure the successful launch of our app for providing the first loan in Uzbekistan. Following these moments, we engage in team building activities and spend quality time together.
The work we do is a primary source of motivation for us, as we collaborate as a team. We deeply appreciate and value each other’s contributions, which creates a strong bond and a sense of responsibility towards one another. This mutual respect and admiration drive us to consistently deliver our best and never let each other down.
We have a beloved pet named Rio who has become the official mascot of our team. Rio visits office pretty often, shares lunches with us and even attends office parties, such as Board Game nights and Junk Fridays. We also have a passionate chess enthusiast, Zura, who is regarded as a grandmaster for us. Our team is composed of intellectually inclined individuals, some of whom excel in trivia games such as “what where When” and have achieved success group wide in representing our company. Additionally, we are fortunate to have a talented artist among us.
While we maintain a dedicated and focused work environment, we also find joy and amusement by expressing our emotions through memes. This light-hearted element adds a touch of fun to our workdays.
