The data team comprises data engineering, data science, business data analysis and business intelligence, collectively contributing to company decision-making based on data analysis. This article focuses on three specific sub-teams: data science, business data analysis and business intelligence. While data science delves into intricate details, business intelligence aims to capture the broader perspective of the company’s overall statistics. Commercial budgeting, data analysis, making campaign models and simulations are the main jobs of business data analysts.

Data science is currently collaborating actively with the data engineering team on developing a new internal platform for managers. This platform is designed to provide insights into predictions based on activities planned for the next month. It aims to showcase how results might change depending on various activities. We believe this tool is crucial for any team and direction, leading to positive outcomes, which is why we take great pride in its development.

Our team is in a constant state of development. In terms of business intelligence, we have revamped the report style to make it more accessible, better organized, and with cleaner data. This ensures a clear and comprehensive understanding of the business landscape. Given that our customer is the internal team — the business itself — we recognize the great responsibility to perfect this reporting system.

In the data team, unlike other teams in fintech, we rarely encounter bugs or issues, as our primary focus is on data. We engage with every department, translating diverse aspects of the company into numerical insights.

Our team, like any other in the company, fosters a friendly environment. Unlike tribes and cross-functional teams, we all collaborate cohesively towards a specific direction. If we were to market our services, our slogan would be: “We know everything that can be demonstrated in numbers.” We pride ourselves on being a multifunctional team, working with various types of data. In contrast to other fintech companies, we don’t segregate based on different data categories.

We have around 20 rules, a template for working with data during reporting. In any situation, these rules must be adhered to, facilitating our operations even in challenging scenarios. No challenge is deemed unacceptable. When faced with a problem, our initial approach involves independent problem-solving. We seek hints from various sources, including Google, chat GPT, and other references. If individual efforts prove insufficient, the team is always ready to provide support for each team member.

It is always gratifying to witness the positive impact of the tools we develop and the reports we prepare, especially when receiving positive feedback from other teams. Such recognition serves as great motivation for each team member.

Every Thursday, almost each of us indulge in our shared love for “Shawarma,” considering ourselves among the gourmet enthusiasts. Given our hybrid work model, our workdays are uniquely special, allowing us to collaborate side by side and engage in meaningful communication with each other.

“We are not just colleagues; we are friends and can easily communicate with each other. Maybe every team says that, but it’s true. Even at work, the communication is not formal, and I appreciate that a lot.” — Levan, Data Scientist.

In our team, there are many intelligent and fascinating individuals. Levan is currently creating a board game, and as a team, we support him, serving as a focus group with great interest and inspiration. Beyond the workplace, we frequently gather for activities. Additionally, we have Lasha, an actor, who is launching a captivating podcast about anime soon.

If our team were a movie, it would be a combination of action and comedy, reflecting its adventurous and humorous daily dynamics.

If our team were a movie, it would be a combination of action and comedy, reflecting its adventurous and humorous daily dynamics. Davit, Lasha and George, stand out as the funniest team members. Anna is recognized for her speed, and she is our go-to person for any questions. She happily shares her experience with team members and possesses an extraordinary business mind, as is involved in various businesses outside of work.

In conclusion, the Space International Data Team functions as a cohesive and multifaceted unit, consistently adapting to the dynamic demands of the fintech landscape. Their unwavering commitment to precision, collaborative efforts, and fostering a friendly work environment not only contributes to the team’s success but also plays a pivotal role in the overall growth of the company. As they persist in navigating the intricacies of data, their distinctive combination of expertise and camaraderie sets them apart within the competitive fintech industry.

Furthermore, in the second part, we will delve into the compelling story of Data Engineering, exploring its integral role within the broader narrative of Space International’s data-driven endeavors.
