The Risk Management team’s primary responsibility is to ensure the effective mitigation of risks across all company processes through the implementation of robust controls. Our team’s primary focus is maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of our digital systems. Our involvement is crucial in the initiation of partnerships with new companies, ensuring thorough due diligence is conducted. Additionally, we handle all aspects of contract management, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. We are the central hub of expertise in Operational Risks, Information Security, Organizational Risks, Legal, and Compliance.
The Operational Risks team is currently engaged in a series of significant projects, each presenting a unique and stimulating challenge to our team members. At the heart of our current focus is a review of database systems accesses. These reviews involve a thorough examination of various systems and services within the company. Our primary goal is to meticulously verify that configurations and access rights are not only appropriate but also secure, ensuring they align with the company’s standards and pose no risks to the integrity of our operations.
Operating across Georgia and Uzbekistan, we are dedicated to ensuring the security and reliability of our financial services. Our team’s primary focus is on safeguarding client data and maintaining the integrity of our digital systems. Also, we are strong believers of the Zero Trust approach, and the ecosystem is fully built on that. Our commitment to security is unwavering as we deliver top-notch financial services in an increasingly digital world. A comprehensive approach to cybersecurity, data protection, and regulatory compliance ensures that we not only meet but exceed the security expectations of our clients. The Legal Team at Space International is currently dedicating its expertise to facilitate the transition to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model. This is not just a technological shift but also legal as well. Our aim is to streamline Space International’s processes and enhance service delivery for our clients through this transition. Recognizing the complexities of this endeavor, our team is actively collaborating with leading local legal firms. This collaboration involves exchanging expertise and insights, developing comprehensive legal strategies, and working diligently to simplify the transition process. Our team’s efforts are pivotal in ensuring that this shift to a SaaS model is seamless, legally sound, and beneficial for both Space International and its valued customers.
The Organizational Risks Competence Centre focuses on compliance, Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Internal Control, and fraud management. Our team is dedicated to adhering to rules, regulations, and standards to navigate the market confidently. We’ve recently implemented a fraud management tool to detect and prevent fraud. Additionally, we actively share information with partners to support each other and avoid security alerts, given the interconnected nature of our systems.
As a team, we are aware of the significant responsibilities we shoulder. Each day brings its own set of challenges, yet we approach them with enthusiasm and humor, energizing our team dynamics. We embrace our role, understanding that progress often involves stepping out of our comfort zones to achieve greater outcomes for everyone involved. If we wanted to choose one motto, it would be: “You’ll thank us in the end.” This phrase captures our dedication to enhancing the work environment for every colleague. Tamta, our esteemed team leader, is known for her exceptional attention to detail and is the go-to expert for any issue. Her keen insight often makes discussions with her the most effective way to unearth solutions, which more often than not, prove successful. In our quest for answers, we also engage in collaborative discussions with other teams, conduct thorough internet research, and frequently consult our digital ally, ChatGPT, just like countless others do.
All of us cherish different moments at work. Nino, for example, takes great satisfaction in filtering out the ‘slugs’ from emails. Sopho, on the other hand, finds joy in transforming data into visually appealing presentations using Excel. Meanwhile, others among us relish in tasks that steer clear of spreadsheets. Our leader, Tamta, enjoys the process of comparing results and tracking our progress over time. This diversity in our interests and skills unites us in our common goal.
Gigia, the Information Security Competence Center Lead, shares, “As a newcomer, I was drawn to this role by its inherent challenges and the company’s forward-thinking direction, which resonates with my personal interests. The added perk, I soon discovered, was the opportunity to work alongside immensely talented colleagues.”

Gigia, the team’s favorite joker, is the one who brings laughter to our meetings, yet when it comes to security matters, he’s as serious and focused as they come. He’s also the go-to person for advice on various action sports. Eka is a master of deep-dive investigations, unraveling complexities with the skill of a detective and she is also the creative force behind our parties! Tamta consistently fosters team spirit. Creativity in problem-solving is a shared trait among us all. Nino’s unique culinary treats add an extra layer of sweetness to our workdays. While we haven’t yet established a tradition of team outings, there’s a growing enthusiasm to start one soon.
