UX @ Spacebib — Releasing a map-based search
Earlier this week, we launched a revamp of our old search page, this time powered by a map. At Spacebib, one of our core values is to encourage sports participation.
Although sports is traditionally associated with grit and sweat, we want to introduce another dimension to it. With plenty of running and tracking apps like Runkeeper and MapMyRun, individual exercisers are spoilt for choice when it comes to visualizing their hard labour.
For sporting events however, there is little in the way of seeing your participation on a grander scale, even if you track it individually, and that is only after the event itself.
We believe that seeing the myriad of events in the big picture can motivate you to go outdoors — after all, sports can be about exploration too!
