Welcome Alex Clayton

We’re delighted to welcome Alex Clayton to Spark Capital. Alex is joining our growth team in San Francisco to help spearhead our investments in transformational enterprise technology companies. He joins us from Redpoint Ventures where he focused on growth stage investments.

Alex uniquely exemplifies the principles we value as investors at Spark: a focus on collaboration over credit, a deep intellectual curiosity about emerging technologies and businesses, and a bias for hustle. He is passionate about startups of all types, but has profound enthusiasm for identifying and partnering with the best enterprise entrepreneurs. It is a testament to Alex’s investment approach that when speaking with entrepreneurs he has both worked with and passed on, he is uniformly described as methodical in his evaluation, thoughtful with his feedback, and exceptional in his character.

Alex joins us as the sixth member of our growth team since the fund was founded by my partner, Jeremy, two years ago. We have the privilege of partnering with 16 world-changing companies and look forward to working with many more. We are excited for Alex to join us in this effort.
