Welcome, Slite
Collaboration and communication experiences play a vital role in our connected experience. For several years, we at Spark have been investing in iconic companies that have made an enormous impact on how we play and work together. We are very proud of backing the founders at Slack, Trello, InVision, Discord, and others that have become such critically essential companies.
Last summer, we were introduced to Christophe Pasquier, who is the founder of Slite. We started using Slite at our company to run our weekly partner meetings, keeping track of new startups, new ideas, new folks we were interviewing, and investment decisions. Soon after, other use cases for Slite emerged, and these days we use Slite to collaborate on a variety of shared projects.
I made a few trips to Paris to spend time with Christophe, and he came to the United States to meet the rest of the Spark team. Christophe has an inspiring vision for Slite and he posses this rare combination of authenticity, humbleness with massive ambition. In many ways, Slite reminds me of my favorite things about Trello and even Tumblr — a beautiful, powerful, and simple product that is quietly delighting customers around the world in a very capital efficient way.
So today, my partners and I are thrilled to annouce we have led the Series A investment in Slite along with their existing investors Index, eFounders and YCombinator. The team at Slite announced the news on their blog and TechCrunch also has the story.
If you haven’t tried Slite, give it a try. I think you are going to love it.
ps: the Slite team is fully distributed and they are hiring!
