Welcoming Lizzy Bates to Spark
We are fast approaching 15 years since we formed Spark to invest in exceptional founders and the products and experiences they design.
Today, we are 12 investors strong across our early-stage and growth funds, and most importantly, we’ve been fortunate to partner with founders that, on day one of Spark, we only dreamed of supporting!
I’m excited to officially announce today that Lizzy Bates has joined us as VP of Marketing & Communications to help our companies tell their stories and shape our own. Lizzy will be a strategic resource for our companies and build unique experiences to bring our growing community of founders and their teams together.
Lizzy spent nearly four years at Bessemer running communications and marketing, and before that, she ran PR on the agency side for brands like Adyen and Walmart Global eCommerce. Everyone we spoke to about Lizzy described her keen ability to architect a story and steer founders through the inevitable communications challenges they will face.
Over the years, we’ve worked hard to build a culture we could be proud of and one, we hoped, founders would be happy to join. So, it didn’t hurt that the team immediately related to Lizzy’s energy, optimism, and willingness to do whatever it takes to make a difference for our founders and our team.
