As year end nears and we reflect back on the highlights, successes and milestones that we reached, it’s energizing to appreciate that momentum has not only returned to, but ignited our industry.

Internally, it was a big year for Spark. Behind the scenes, we laboured towards closing our Series A led by BDC Capital and Pender Ventures, grew our team by nearly 30% — adding some incredible talent to our already extraordinary team, officially launched our Tree Planting initiative with Tree Canada and finally attended our first in person conferences and events. The combined energy these activities injected into our company is undeniable and have translated into an invigorated product pipeline that reflects new and expanding markets and universal pain points across the new development industry.

Product wise, this past year, we launched some powerful features and improvements that solidify Spark as the most trusted platform for New Development. In what equates to our most prolific year yet, we pushed out scores of major features and improvements to our product including ID Verification, Digital Contract automations and becoming officially Google Authenticated! For a more in depth look into the product updates we made throughout the year, read back through our Q1, Q2 and Q3 Product Highlight blogs.

Recapping Q3 Highlights

These advancements positioned us to have our biggest year yet: 288 projects were launched resulting in 17,000 units added to our platform as well as 14,500 Digital Contracts transacted for a total of $22 billion in new inventory managed through Spark. We have proudly powered some of the largest and most prestigious projects that launched this year including Five Park Miami Beach, the exclusive Napa Valley community at Stanly Ranch, waterfront towers Aire and Drift housed within Vancouver’s exclusive North Harbour community, and the iconic Mandarin Oriental Residences Fifth Ave.

And this momentum is only going to continue as we enter another new year, even more prepared to support you and your project launches. Thank you to all our clients, friends and industry partners: our objective has always been to bridge the gap between real estate and technology and empower the new development industry to sell more homes, faster — and we couldn’t do without you!
