Welcome to our Sparky™ blog! We’re so excited to welcome you into our community and share a little bit about what we’re building and why, along with some personal anecdotes and stories.
What is spark?
Sparky™ is an app for parents and children to help build focus, mindfulness and confidence on your way to happier kids. Backed by the latest in modern academic psychology and neuroscience with tools tested in children’s camps around the world, we’re bringing what we’ve learned directly into your homes.
Who is Sparky?
This is Sparky! They will be your guide as you and your kids explore your thoughts, feelings, body, breath, and the science behind it all. In doing so you’ll develop the tools to combat anxiety, build focus, become confident, and create happy kids.
Who are we?
Researchers, teachers, builders, and dreamers. We’re a team composed of people from different walks of life. We’re united in our desire to solve a really big problem for the parents and children around us: our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts, second cousins thrice-removed, and friends.
Why are we doing this?
When we looked around at the support tools parents and kids have to address the everyday challenges of growing up, we saw books, podcasts, articles and more. Some of the best of those have been produced by our own cofounder Shimi Kang. We also see a lot of parents who struggle to apply these tools in their own homes.
We decided there had to be a better way to connect with parents and their kids. We’re bringing the science of parenting and the tools tried and tested in children’s camps around the world into the home for parents and kids. For this reason we have teamed up to bring you Spark Mindset™.
What’s next for us?
We’re currently in closed beta testing for our mobile app and will be posting updates on this blog. Follow us here to join us on the journey.
