My green coat looked so good
I let its shine distract me
from the noise inside me
I spent my days looking at my leafs
Proudly standing tall
That was when I lifted my head
And I saw her
Just like me
Looking down on herself
To her leaves, her coat
she rocks that coat, I thought
As if she had heard my thoughts
She looked at me and said:
“You rock that coat!”
I saw how we looked the same
And how we were the only two there
In those empty woods
And I answered
“Right? I knew it!”
Why was she moving her mouth?
At the same time as me?
I wondered
That was when I felt it
The Autumn’s fresh breeze
Making its harvest
I saw my leaves flying away
Wait!
My coat did not have those colors
I looked at myself
I was naked
How did my leaves turn brown, orange, and gold?
Why are they abandoning me?
The cold will be here soon
I’ll die
That’s when I noticed
She was naked like me
Right there in front of me
Telling me:
“You got this! Your inner fire will keep you warm!”
Why was my mouth moving?
The click came
Reflecting
This is not the end
It is a change
A test of my life force
And I will choose mindfully
which leaves me to let myself grow
This time around.
