When children are afraid of something, we give them a gentle push to face fear bravely rather than run away from it. Unlike children, for adults a gentle push is far from sufficient. We need something bigger — a compelling reason to stop staying away and face fear. Even then we would look for reasons to justify running as a more sensible option.

The picture book on overcoming fear:

“Ted, The Fire Engine Who is Afraid of Fire!”

Illustrated by Lakshmi Mitter

He must overcome the fear of fire to survive. But overcoming fear is not easy. It needs a lot of effort. Ted looks for an easy way and thinks he has found it. Will that suffice to overcome a big fear like the fear of fire?

If you would like to find out, the book “Ted, The Fire Engine Who is Afraid of Fire!” is available as an ebook on Amazon.
