What if we could reduce inequality and end poverty in all of its forms everywhere?

Today, on Impact Journalism Day, we drew up a list of 3 inspiring solutions responding to this issue among the 60 stories shared by 50 of the greatest media from all over the world, reunited for the event. This is the case of the initiatives of Bassita and Takafull.

Clickfunding by Bassita

Bassita is an Egyptian startup, innovators behind an award-winning model called Clickfunding, which allows diverse parts of communities (web users, positive initiatives, sponsors) to work together and achieve social good. Their 7 successful campaigns to date include a joint campaign with UNICEF that has provided water in 1,000 homes; a partnership with a food bank supporting 7,000 families; a partnership with a Cairo optician which funded 1,000 pairs of free eyeglasses for craftsmen & women.

Takafull

Access to financial support is crucial for budding Moroccan businesses. TakaFull is an application that enables citizens to finance projects via crowdfunding in an innovative way: using unused minutes of phone credit that are converted into monetary value.
