Tania is lecturer at the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka researching into the effects of radiation. She got her motivation to become a scientist and study this particular field because of a family member suffering from cancer.

Tania was co-winner of Sparrho’s Researcher Prize in July 2017.

As she explains, the whole world is exposed to some sort of radiation. So, if you want to find out more about what the high risk areas and hard risk occupations are, the best person to speak to is Tania!
