What a great way to celebrate the International Women’s Day 2019!

We are proud to announce our first winner for the Sparrho Researcher Prize of this year:

Rushanka Amrutkar, who is a space explorer and satellite remote sensing specialist will soon complete her Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and convinced our jury with her excellent pinboard submission,

Space-borne satellite RADAR remote sensing in forestry”.

Rushanka has already spent her Sparrho travel money and her conference of choice was splendid: She crossed several time zones to present at “Women in Space 2019” in Scottsdale, Arizona!

Curious to know what she did exactly to win the Sparrho Researcher Prize?

Read more about Rushanka’s research here.
