It’s congrats time again as we annouce the February winners for Sparrho’s Early Career Researcher Prize, Vinutha and Jose! They have completed a perfect run beating the field and impressing the Jury with their solid technical knowledge and elegant execution — if you pardon the Olympic pun! 🏆
Well done to both! 💮

As usual, our winners are getting £500 towards attending a conference of their choice. Learn more about them below.

Vinutha K.B.

Vinutha K.B. is a PhD scholar at Monash University, Australia. Her research focuses on discovering the mechanism how the docile fungus Candida albican switches into a dangerous substance spreading infection in the body.

Vinutha will speak at the 14th ASM Conference on Candida and Candidiasis, in Providence, US on 15th April 2018.

Jose Maria Ezquiaga

Jose Maria Ezquiaga is a PhD researcher at The Institute of Theoretical Physics IFT UAM-CSIC in Madrid, Spain.

Jose is studying the evolution of the universe by researching dark energy and gravitational wave astronomy.

He will speak at the 53rd Rencontres de Moriond in La Thuile, Italy on 17th March.
