BTC drops 10% in a single day
There has never been a more obvious case for the use of options to control risk. Market uncertainty has returned just two days after we held the first episode of the TRADER NATION SERIES. We started this series of trading-centric content to help the community mature and understand how to control risk using options, and just two days later, the crypto markets took a beating!
TRADER NATION SERIES
It’s the Singapore Fintech Festival 2018 so we planned to use this time to demystify options to a broader audience. Together with QCP Capital and Digix Global, we held the first episode of a series of trading-centric events that we call the TRADER NATION SERIES on 13 November 2018. We managed to get a great venue courtesy of WeWork City House. We planned the event to be kept simple and relevant to the participants, it should run on time, and have absolutely no shilling. We are pleased to announce that we succeeded in achieving our objectives.
Episode 1: HODL has failed. What’s next?
We focused on sharing a few simple ways options could be used to perform treasury management, risk control and capitalize on opportunities in the crypto market. We wanted the content to be accessible and relevant, to help bridge the gap between the professionals and those who are just starting out.
The evening began with a presentation by Darius Sit, Managing Partner of QCP Capital, who introduced four essential strategies for trading crypto options.
Adrian Tan, CIO of Sparrow Exchange then shared how options could be used by three specific groups of users — funds, ICO firms and miners — to boost or support their key operations.
Lastly a panel of professional traders from very different backgrounds engaged in a lively discussion on using options to control risk in cryptocurrencies.

ALPHA will not be transacting using real cryptocurrency due to security concerns. We will supply you with representative tokens for testing the platform. We will NEVER ask you to deposit any of your digital assets at this phase.
To be clear, ALPHA testing is free. DO NOT transfer any of your crypto assets to anyone claiming to be from Sparrow for the ALPHA test.
