Recruiting season is in full swing in East Lansing, with every organization from fraternities to short-staffed restaurants putting out their bid to attract Michigan State students to join their ranks. Spartan Blockchain Solutions is also caught up in this wave and has had massive interests from diverse parts of MSU’s student body.

Over the past weeks SBS has dedicated much time and resources into showing what the firm can offer students. Booths at both Broad Fall Welcome and Sparticipation brought in considerable interest, with over 80 students putting their name down in hopes of becoming part of SBS’s ever-growing team.

Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion Maggie Francis has been hard at work bringing those interested in being hired on at SBS into the loop and coordinating SBS’s biggest recruiting event on Thursday, September 26.

This “Networking Night” is aimed to provide prospective team members a chance to meet the team and learn about what the firm aims to achieve this semester and within the coming years. The event is meant to be a casual networking opportunity for those who want to make a difference on MSU’s campus through blockchain technology, with the added benefit of including free pizza.

However it’s not just the executive board committing to recruiting season. All SBS team members have been hard at work spreading the word about the benefits of being hired on at SBS. Each team member has their own story of how the firm has benefited them both professionally and personally. Senior Analyst Tyler Weisner has invited many within his network to consider SBS as a serious option when it comes to gaining experience in a developing field.

“Spartan Blockchain has always been a great learning and professional experience for me,” Weisner said. “I feel like this is the place to be no matter what field you’re going into.”

As part of the recruiting process this semester, SBS has expanded its range to include positions that are needed for the non-tech based side of the firm. These new positions include:

  • Graphic Designer — Aid in the creation and implementation of various marketing, recruiting, and presentation initiatives.
  • Business Analyst — Provide analysis and assisting in the business aspects of every engagement and within the firm’s internal affairs.
  • Legal Analyst — Provide oversight and assistance in the legal realm regarding new projects and internal affairs.
  • Community Manager — Manage social media accounts and other various marketing tools in order to project Spartan Blockchain Solution’s message and goals.

These new positions are a reflection of how SBS is changing it’s internal structure in order to meet client needs to the firm’s fullest capabilities.

Of course, technical analysts are the heart of the company and are still sought from the student body.
