Last year, consumers were searching for solutions to dryness. As they’ve become more educated on solving for this concern, now they search directly for the solution — hydration. But they’re searching for “hydrating” solutions across everything.

Consumers are seeking hydrating solutions +18.7% more than last year (186.9K average monthly searches). This benefit is being searched alongside a wide range of product formats, including foundation, primer, hair masks, lip oil, lotions, cleansers, creams and serums. Search volume is still quite low for products such as hydrating foundation, but growth is high at +40% since last year.
