Everything you didn’t know was possible in a cold wallet

When you think of a cold cryptowallet, does a USB stick-type of a device come to mind?

At Spatium, we believe in moving beyond hardware device designs that haven’t much changed since the USB stick was introduced 18 years ago. Plus, in the sheer number and usefulness of functionalities, our cold wallet is much more forward thinking.

Credit card slim

Granted, getting advanced encryption and cryptography of a cryptowallet into a thin, plastic card is not nearly as easy as creating a VISA or MasterCard magnetic credit card. So it is to the credit of our firmware engineers and design team that Spatium was able to create a credit card-shaped cold wallet.

Besides being thinner, lighter, and more convenient to keep in your pocket wallet, our cold cryptowallet does not need a cable connection to a computer to participate in the signing of transactions. Yes, we heard your complaints about the annoyance of plugging in cold wallets and we listened.

Instead of wires, we use NFC and Bluetooth technology to securely interact with your other devices without any of the hassle common to today’s cryptowallets. This ability to crypto not only securely but wirelessly has been a demand of hardware (cold) wallet users for years.

Finger on the pulse

The biometric sensor on our cold wallet allows you to scan five different fingers for the most secure, finger-injury proof method of authorization (this addresses a common fear/question about something happening that would make one finger’s print ineligible — for our wallet, there are 4 more fingers to work with).

The biometric authorization is quick too: instead of remembering a lengthy password, just press one of the five saved fingers against the reader on the wallet.

Secure in any situation

Being unhackable is a good start for the Spatium software and hardware wallets, yet we knew we could do a lot more in terms of real-world security, and so we did.

Plausible denial — if you are mugged at gunpoint and forced to give access to your hardware wallet, what can you do? With the Spatium cold wallet, you can give access to a special fake account with just a little bit of funds. At the same time, your real account becomes locked and an alarm with your location is sent to the emergency contact you pre-programmed into the wallet.

Inheritance — cryptocurrency is the future of finance. So if something does happen to you, you want your children or other trusted people to inherit your funds. With the Spatium cold wallet, you can pre-program that after a certain period of your inactivity (for example, 2 years) your designated contact person(s) can access your wallet via a predetermined authorization method. For example, you can input your daughter’s fingerprints into the wallet when she is born (another use of the fingerprint scanner).

Easy recovery of data — our cold wallet is an access point to your data, not a repository of it. If you lose your hardware wallet, just get another one and recover your data quickly and with ease.

The Spatium cold wallet will have a number of other functions you have been asking for in your emails and social media comments. It will play an integral part in the entire ecosystem created by our multiservice platform.
