We’ve gone stable! Version 1.0.0 of our Software Wallet is here.

First we ran closed testing of our software wallet with about 100 users. Then there was an invite-only beta in Google Play and the App store (which we opened to the public a few weeks back). And now, a major milestone is here: we are very excited to announce the release of the first stable version of the Spatium software wallet.

Certainly, it’s not easy to create the first mobile wallet with hardware wallet level of security. Even after extensive internal and external testing, there were small bugs and UX imperfections that — even if forgiven by our beta users — drove our engineering team crazy. So they spent weeks ironing out the kinks, testing and retesting, and polishing the software wallet until it was a true stable version: 1.0.0

So now, officially, Spatium Software Wallet 1.0.0 is here. It is a fully functioning secure cryptowallet, with stable versions for both iOS and Android. Users that have already familiarized themselves with the beta version of the wallet over the past few weeks, will love the improved experience. We listened to their feedback and incorporated it into the stable version of the wallet.

Thinking of our users first and foremost, we made sure to include a number of User Interface (UI) improvements. The feel of the wallet should now be even more intuitive. Additionally, we wanted the wallet to be quick and as responsive as possible, so version 1.0 boasts faster and more responsive processing of user interactions.

We also considered user journey not just during the transactions but after them. With that in mind, we added full transaction history and cached it right in the wallet for easy access.

All in all, we see version 1.0.0 of our software wallet as an important step to allow crypto investors to crypto securely. On deck is our hardware wallet (both firmware and software designs are close to completion) and our ICO platform (finalizing and testing its functionality within our software wallet).

Industry experts are watching the continued development of the Spatium software wallet. While many cryptowallets claim to be unhackable, Spatium promises a whole new generation of crypto security by entirely getting rid of the single point of attack — the private key, replacing it with keyless, distributed signing of transactions. That’s how such 3rd generation crypto wallets can have hardware wallet security in a mobile wallet.

In other developments, we recently added support for the popular NEO and XEM coins to our software wallet (which already supports over 100 crypto coins and tokens). You can add any of the many cryptos the wallet supports to version 1.0.0 of the Spatium wallet today. Just make sure to download it from Google Play, App Store or Microsoft Store.
