Digging two graves
Sealing troubled fates
Gossip becomes slander
Statements repeating fresh lies
Speech stabbing blindly, piercing deep
Guilt exposed, known by all, faces read
Hope demolished, whispers shouted, sentenced
Images tattered, characters stained
Defenders absent, allies turned
Falling alone, no where home
Safety net ripped apart
Ground frozen, jaded
Words wield power
Life and death
Build trust with love
Gently bandage wounds
Speak warmly, heal by deed
Stitch by stitch, repair the net
Rescue the one bound to free fall
Shower affection, embrace, console
Give back a clean name, forget yesterday
Voices have strength, evil and good
Designate impact, set their worth
Bolster, shatter, make a choice
Stab or mend, shame or shun
May none slip alone
Do not let go
Kind words

Words have immense power. As writers and influencers, you have the power to build up or tear down, to strengthen or destroy. Even seemingly small words can do much good or harm.

You see evidence every day in the news, on social media, in your home and work life. Words hurt. Words heal. Words can change everything.

How will you choose?
