Time is precious. The value of our time is even more clear during these trying days. More time spent at home with our family and loved ones draws us closer to them.

We all have the same amount of time. Every day has 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds. Choosing to spend your time as a person of value improves the world of the people near you.

Can one person make a change? Absolutely. That truth is obvious every day in the news. Think about how many names we know well today but didn’t know a month ago. Every person has value.

Even if confined to your home, you can be a listening ear for a friend in need. Sending a text message of encouragement to one experiencing a trial can give them the strength they need to make it through the day.

A few days ago, I was sending some long overdue thank you cards. Sitting at my desk, I thought of a friend I was grateful to know. I appreciate how he looks out for others no matter how much stress he’s under, so I sent him a letter to tell him. He…
