Today, the Special Olympics movement lost a champion, Sen. Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), who throughout his time as Senator fought for acceptance of people with intellectual disabilities. Both at home in Hawaii and as a national leader, Sen. Inouye always sought opportunity to create a better country for our athletes.
