Today in Washington D.C. where our global office is headquartered it is a dark, dreary, grey, cloudy, rainy day. On days like today after battling a rainy morning rush hour it’s often tough to have that extra jump in your step as you tackle the work day.

Days like today however I have a sure fire prescription for those rainy day blues. Recently we collected dozens of photos from around the world via Facebook that were taken during the thousands of Summer Games competitions held by our local Programs. The results speak for themselves. I’ve collected a few in the slideshow below, but there are more on our Facebook page. After browsing through the athletes in these photos I’m raring to go and I wanted to share that energy with you because we all know nothing inspires us like the joy and accomplishments we see in our athletes. Know someone looking for a little pick me up today? Prescribe a little Special Olympics to brighten their day and forward this along!

Enjoy!
