Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from the Specle Team

From everyone here at Specle, we would like to thank you all for being so patient, positive, and understanding this year. We will be operating with limited staff the week of Christmas and will be out of the office from the 24th — 28th, and December 31st — January 4th, operating with a skeleton staff on the 29th-30th. We will be happy to welcome you bright and early in the New Year on Monday, January 4th. For now, we leave you with a classic poem, with a slight twist, written by our whole Specle team.

’Twas the night before Christmas

And all through the house

Not a creature was stirring

Not even a computer mouse

No ads were still ‘checking’

No emails unread

And the support team were asleep

After eating too much gingerbread

Our website was quiet

No users online

Our developers were busy

Making mulled wine

We queued to buy food

And clapped for the NHS

Learned new words like ‘pandemic’

And experienced our neighbours’ kindness

The pubs were all closed

No shopping to do

We worked from our beds
And dusted off our running shoes

Times have changed this year

Of that, there is no doubt

But here at Specle

We’ve tried our best not to pout

We’ve all baked too much bread

And our watchlists are shrinking

Things will return to normal

It’s not just wishful thinking

We thank you all

For being so patient this year

And we wish you all
