Honestly, getting a high score is not everyone’s cup of tea because it requires extremely hard work along with dedication. Here are some points that an aspirant can work upon for a good score.

  • Stay informed: As an aspirant, you must remain updated with the latest trends and announcements regarding this exam. You must be well aware of the exam pattern, marks distribution, languages in which you can attempt the exam, number of questions etc. Let’s say for example: to get a score of 600+, you have to attempt 150+ questions and that too without any incorrect one because this exam is having negative marking as well. Now to achieve this target of 150+ correct questions, you should attempt at least 160–170 questions so that if by chance a few questions are wrong, you are still left with a considerable score.
  • Stay aware of the complete syllabus: The syllabus is already available on many platforms online and that too with a detailed explanation. Just go through the complete syllabus before planning any timetable for your preparation. This analysis of the syllabus will not only help you in preparing for NEET but also for board exams as mostly all topics are common between both the exams.
  • Stick to a single strategy: This is the most common mistake which many aspirants make. They never follow a single strategy and, in the end, they find themselves surrounded by many dilemmas and confusions. Avoid this mistake and follow a single strategy. Moreover, that strategy should be your own and not inspired by anyone else including your friends and previous toppers of the exam. You can take references but do not copy them because everyone has his/her strengths and weaknesses and you are the best judge of your traits as well as vision.
  • Do not skip NCERT’s: NCERT books are considered as an appropriate base and hence one must never take them lightly. According to trends, many times direct questions are asked from these books. Not only NCERT’s state board books can also be of great help. NCERT’s help in efficient preparation so one must follow these books very precisely. After completing NCERT’S, you shall proceed to NCERT exemplar books for higher-order thinking skills. At last, you should go for various reference books and other available resources for in-depth understanding but remember, the paper is based on NCERT books only.
  • Take help of mentors: If at any point in time, you feel like you’re confused or facing certain troubles, instead of referring to unknown resources you should talk to professional mentors that are available on platforms like speedlabs.in. Such mentors have experience of many years and can help in solving every query, doubt related to all the subjects and other confusions as well.
  • Apart from the above-stated tips, one should also take care of the below-mentioned points so that his/her score can get boosted at a fast pace.
  1. Revise at least 2–3 times especially important topics. Revision helps in better understanding exam-oriented topics and never use an excessive number of resources for revision purposes.
  2. Apart from Revision, solve previous year questions as these questions will provide an idea of how and what to approach and what are those topics which require special attention.
  3. Last but not least, once you are done with your revision, solve as many mock tests as you can. This will help you to evaluate your understanding and the places where improvement is required.

Key Takeaways

Everything is possible when you have that zeal inside you. Proper time management and regular practice with revision will help you ensure the success of getting a minimum of 600+ marks in this exam.
