A few months ago, I had the pleasure of visiting my fellow Speexxies in Paris. While we pride ourselves on being a remote-friendly company, this Business Unit truly shines when they’re together in person. This initiative enhances work-life balance and fosters a sense of community among team members and their furry companions. Take, for example, Vincent’s energetic Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Snow. Vincent brings Snow into the office three times per week, and frankly, he truly completes our office culture. “Bringing Snow to the office not only makes scheduling my day easier, it also brightens the day for my colleagues,” says Vincent. ”People take care of him, and he brings so much joy to our team. We like to think of him as our Chief Happiness Officer!
We’re All About Wellness
Speexx is dedicated to promoting work-life balance, and our Paris office is no exception. This year, Florence, our local People & Culture Manager, organized the second Quality of Work Life (QWL) Week to enhance team wellness. The week featured yoga classes, healthy breakfasts, painting sessions, and communication workshops, offering something for everyone. It was a chance to develop healthy new habits and bond with colleagues in fresh, meaningful ways. The week concluded with an unforgettable Speexx Summer Party, filled with surprises, cocktails, and dancing. At Speexx, we believe in working hard and playing hard — it’s all about balance.

Step into the Speexx office, and you’ll be greeted by a lively display of team photos adorning the walls. Each snapshot captures a memorable moment from the French Business Unit, marking milestones in the team’s history. There are funny ones, too — like the famous Speexxies outside the office, thanks to the Photoshop talents of our Content Marketing Manager, Pierre. It’s clear how much the people here are valued and cared for. I love seeing the vibrant, supportive culture that puts our team members at the heart of everything we do.
We Take Our Lunch Breaks Seriously
At Speexx, the lunch break is more than just a pause in the workday — it’s a sacred ritual. Team members prioritize this time to unwind, recharge, and socialize with colleagues and friends. From my visit, it was obvious to see the incredible culinary diversity in restaurants around the office — from Indian to Bangladeshi, the options are endless. One especially cool benefit for these Speexxies is that they are provided a 10€ voucher for everyday work to help them enjoy their break-even fuller.
We Celebrate Good Times
As part of our Speexx DNA, we celebrate the good times! In the French office, it’s not unusual to find colleagues going out for an after-work drink to talk about the day at the bar around the corner. More than the casual hangs, we organize a gathering of all Speexxies, including remote employees, at our Paris office to celebrate, connect, and participate in team-building activities, workshops, and social evenings every quarter.
