Hello, and welcome to Spellbond Carnival, a lolita fashion blog powered by Spellbond Studios (AKA Serena Rahhal and Reese Patterson)! We’re really excited to be launching this blog as a place to ramble about the fashion and post coord designs inspired by various aesthetics and fandoms. Both of us are autistic, so you can expect our content to delve deep into whatever strikes our (special) interest.

Lolita fashion blogs are what first drew Serena to the fashion, inspired by the passionate writing and seemingly endless conversations many lolita bloggers had about the fashion. Since finally getting a chance to start wearing lolita in 2018, it’s been a dream to run a lolita blog. After months of baiting Reese with Alice and the Pirates, Souffle Song, and lolita YouTube content until there was no choice but to fall down the rabbit hole last year… the two decided to make this dream a reality! (Everything’s better when you can do it with your best friend, right?)

And if fiction podcasts are your thing, we also co-created and co-write the audio drama Signed, Venus.

One thing we’re really excited to start posting on this blog are fandom-inspired coord designs! We’re already working on a few that we think you guys will find really cool. For our intro post, we thought it’d be appropriate to share the first one we made together, inspired by Cypher outfits in the Bioware game, Anthem (which, Reese would like you all to know, is a great game that you should totally play):

Necklace and Headdress — Alice and the Pirates; Vest — FRILL; Skirt and Bag — Miho Matsuda; Blouse — Floren; Tights, Shoes, and Bracelet — off brand

Aaand that’s all for now! Thanks for checking us out. We’re really excited to be starting this blog and we can’t wait to come back with more lolita content here at Spellbond Carnival!
