Spend.org is proud to announce that the initial beta version of Spendchain has been successfully launched! Spendchain aims to be a high-speed, interoperable, payments blockchain designed to handle crypto based payments globally.

There will now be a phase of public and community testing with this initial beta version of our main network released. Users will be able to run validator nodes to secure the network and process transactions as well as perform transactions directly on Spendchain. During this beta period we have enabled Web And Desktop Wallets that the community can utilize. We have compiled the following builds:

Web Wallet: https://wallet.spend.org
Desktop Wallet: https://github.com/Spend/Desktop-Wallet/releases/tag/alphav2.1

If users would like to compile their own standalone apps they can find the sources for both the Web and Desktop wallet on the Spend GitHub page: https://github.com/Spend

Users who would like to receive Spendchain test coins may navigate to: https://faucet.spend.org and enter their native Spendchain address to receive their test SPND. Please bear in mind that these coins are not actual coins and cannot be used outside of Spendchain. To receive these coins, the native Spendchain address can be found on the web or desktop wallets and will be formatted in this fashion, as an example: spend1sdp8y62cp3538hvalu7t4ektahmkv7d84j8a7q

Once sufficient testing has been completed on Spendchain, we will announce a time and date sometime early next year (2020) where we will initiate the genesis block. To view the beta block explorer, users may visit: https://explorer.spend.org

These dates are subject to change, depending on results from our beta testing period. To find out more about Spendchain and how to use the network functions, please read our beta documentation: https://docs.spend.org

Thank you,

The Spend Team
