To keep growing with the company and work towards a better tomorrow. — Pooja Pande

What’s your story and how did you get involved with MatchMove?

I am a Software Engineer with 6 years of experience. I had started working for MatchMove as a vendor employee, later converting to a permanent employee. I am currently working as a senior software engineer and mainly handling the authorization service.

What do you like about working in MatchMove?

I would say the best part about MatchMove is we share the same vision and passion and I love the ferocity with which it is dedicated to its mission and growth. Also, MatchMove has been a second home to me with open culture and exposure where I have grown as a professional and as a fellow human.

Name one of your most memorable learning experiences at work.

It’s been an incredible journey in MatchMove, to pick one it would be the
JIT ( Just In Time Credit Loading for Authorization Transactions ) as the team was working remotely due to Covid. It was one of the major implementations, with proper communication and guidance from leadership we were able to deliver it.

How do you overcome work stress?

Spending time with family & friends to travelling & cooking from time to time.

Can you share one exciting project(outside of work) that you’ve done/or currently working on?

I am currently trying my hand at baking. From barely being able to
make tea trying to master layer cakes. It’s not just about baking, it’s about the joy and calm that come with it.

Looking back, what advice would you tell your younger self?

I would advise my younger self to RESPOND rather than REACT to
things and don’t be paralyzed by the fear of failing. Have patience with yourself, the people you surround yourself with.
