The sparkling turquoise waters and endless blue skies have never been so missed. This week, we take you on a voyage of discovery through Greece, to Mykonos to be precise, to give you our best ideas for this summer. This fabulous island of the Cyclades has everything we dream of: private beaches, whitewashed villages, restaurants where you can have your feet in the sand not far from turquoise creeks or a small fishing port and windmills.

You probably know the island without having been there: Mykonos is famous for its animation and its cult of parties during summer. However, the late reopening of the borders could allow you to experience the island as you never have before. The Mykonos of before, more peaceful and quiet, could also seduce us. A summer 2020 that promises to be even more exclusive…

Psarou

Closest to the capital of Mykonos, this beach made of golden sand and divine water is the rendez-vous of stars and beautiful people. A popular place where everything is possible: champagne, lobsters and Riva speed-boat excursions, you will have the exclusivity. Find the elegant Nammos Beach Bar, which has brought a lot of luxury and glamour to this mythical beach of the island. For a stroll, a long promenade on the west side of the beach will take you to the heights. From there, the view overlooking the sea will give you a different angle on this charming place.

Ftelia Beach Club

For a quieter place, the Ftelia Beach opts for a completely different atmosphere, at least during the day. Decorated by Fabrizio Casiraghi, this place offers a vintage decor without false notes along the bay of Panormos. Spend an afternoon here under its large, flamboyant umbrellas, rattan tables and ochre deckchairs, not forgetting the Locus Solus armchairs by Gae Aulenti, where you’ll have your feet in the sand, facing a crystal-clear sea.

At the end of the day, head to the bar’s immaculate roof terrace to watch the sunset over the bay. For those looking for tunes, don’t worry, the quiet atmosphere will turn into a DJ-charged party at nightfall.

Scorpios

This place is our favorite and the place to be if you are passing through the island. At the same time a beach bar, restaurant, club, shop and beach club, you will be able to stay there until the early morning. With a location on the rock and a bohemian hippie chic atmosphere, nothing is left to chance. During the day, you will naturally be punctuated by the chill out sounds of the best DJs of the moment.

You will be able to sip fresh, incredibly well-made cocktails and dine in the accompanying restaurant. You’ll waltz between grilled fish and typical crispy Greek salads from the island. The different spaces offer different atmospheres creating a bewitching atmosphere that will leave you with unique memories.

Escape to the sea for a day of leisure to the most beautiful beaches in the world. The Cycladic archipelago shines with its crystalline waters, fine sand and rocks. Favourite terrain for your most beautiful photos, your most beautiful memories.

Sarakiniko (Milos)

In a landscape sculpted by the sea and the wind is a cove with white sand, on this island close to Mykonos. You will find arches, caves and cliffs carved in a velvety world of volcanic tufa of absolute softness.

For cultural places, the windmills of Mykonos are one of the highest points on the island. Between the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries there were more than twenty windmills on the island. They were built for the production of wheat, an activity that was fundamental to the economic development of Mykonos. Seven of them are now maintained to preserve their heritage. They offer a superb hilltop view.

Just below the mills, take a stroll in the district of Little Venice where the typical blue and white facades of the houses rise on the waterfront. A narrow pavement separates the walls from the sea. On sunny days, you can watch the locals sitting on a small chair. This place is also dear to the painters and photographers that you may come across during your visit. The atmosphere here is unique and magical … listen to the soft sound of the sea while enjoying the many small bars and restaurants. Wander through the fresh alleyways, be curious, the places will surprise you!
