One month ago on Thursday December 12th, Spherity GmbH presented at TechCrunch Disrupt, one of the biggest annual tech events in Berlin. Dr. Carsten Stöcker shared Spherity’s vision for the data integrity, cybersecurity, and privacy needs of the coming machine economy. In this regard, he pointed out the role of decentralized identity management solutions and overviewed a few use cases from Spherity’s client history. At Spherity’s booth, curious conference-goers had the chance to explore our testbed, where enterprise clients can experiment hands-on with Spherity’s enterprise identity cloud wallet interface and even prototype potential use-cases.
Along with five other startups managing risk and compliance needs for large enterprises, Spherity participated in the 12-weeks “accelerator” program of the SAP.iO Foundry Berlin, which has now ended. We are now proud to call ourselves “SAP.iO alumni” 🙃
After these 12 weeks, we truly want to say “THANK YOU, SAP.iO!” The accelerator program enabled us to develop a lot of trusted relationships with people from throughout the organizational map of SAP. We were able to develop a very good understanding of how SAP works and how our solution could be integrated in the best way. SAP opened up to us deep insights into SAP’s cloud technology and its ecosystem of partnerships and interlocking business models. They further accelerated us with qualified introductions to SAP projects and clients.
As for the content of the accelerator itself, we are grateful for the extensive consultations on business strategy, comparing notes with other B2B startups, and getting practical advice and coaching from SAP.io. All have been valuable takeaways which recommend the program to other startups.
In 2020, we are now very much looking forward to deepening our relationship with SAP. We are very committed and keen to integrate our AWS cloud-based identity solutions into SAP’s cloud platform. Conversations are also ongoing with a handful of SAP clients about integrating Spherity’s identity cloud wallet technology for specific accounts. Many of these conversations are focused in the pharmaceutical sector and its IMI and PSCI consortia, but there are also research projects being proposed to SAP projects and collaborations in the fields of energy, financial services, and retail as well.
