As a tarot reader I’m not big into oracle decks, but lately I’ve been wanting to branch out from my wheelhouse.
When I started looking around for a suitable deck, “The Garden of Lucid Daydreams — 999 Oracle” by Patrick Valenza seemed to fit the bill.
Valenza is a fellow tarot enthusiast and is the creator behind The Deviant Moon Tarot, my favorite deck of all time. He has this to say about his inspiration behind the 999 Oracle:
The idea for this particular Oracle came as a challenge to produce one single card immediately after waking up from my daily afternoon nap. I had to scribble and produce the first idea that popped into my mind and fully complete the card within one hour. If not, the Universe would turn to cheese!
