SpiderVille Secures $1M in Pre-Seed Funding
We are thrilled to announce that we’ve raised $1M in our pre-seed round from Contents Technologies and Samsung Next, as well as a number of prominent angel investors.
As a web3 music lab that mainly explores the intersection of emerging technologies and music, SpiderVille is committed to creating an easy-to-use, reliable, and fun environment for artists and their fans around the world. Its first project Ooh La La is a streaming platform that aggregates music NFTs from different blockchain networks. The funding will be used to continue building the sound infrastructure for the web3 music industry, raise brand awareness, and prime it for scalability.

Despite the big promises of web3, the market is still very nascent. It will take time for music NFTs to mature but we believe our streaming platform built for music NFTs will help accelerate its adoption. Ooh La La will start by focusing on ‘streaming’ in particular, as we believe that it is the use case that the mass public would feel most familiar with.
This is just the beginning of our long and wonderful journey. We are looking forward to our next steps, including:

Ooh La La allows any user to use its streaming service without creating and connecting a wallet. It will significantly lower the barriers to entry for the new users, who are curious about the industry but are still reluctant to dive deep into it. With Ooh La La, discovering, exploring, and listening to music NFTs are easier than ever!
2. Bridging the artists and fans all over the world.
We strongly believe that music fans, listeners, and artists, including those who don’t want to recognize these art pieces solely as a means of investment, indeed need some anchor point to gather around to discover their tastes and support each other. With the support from our amazing partners, Ooh La La will also aim to provide an accessible on-ramp for both artists and consumers from under-represented regions of the world, so please stay tuned for our next steps.
