Stickers, Wristbands, Badges, and Phones all connect to the Spigot!

In April and May, we’ve deployed all vehicles available to deliver RFID connections and supporting services… in every corner of the events industry.

Our primary offering, Taste Tracking, was used at our in-house event: the third annual Belgian Brew Fest. We tracked 5,325 pours: by hour, by beer (multiple beers per tent), and by individual participant via a sticker embedded on the bottom of their tasting glass. Subscribe to our newsletter to receive our white paper that will dig into the metrics and what they mean to festival organizers and vendors.

Our clients leveraging Simple Badge Printing have been keeping us busy. And, not because it takes us long to print a badge! It takes far less time for an attendee to type their name into the tablet and print their badge than it would for staff to find that same pre-printed name tag or badge in alphabetized stacks (without having to alphabetize them). The bonus for attendees is they don’t have to figure out which line to get in based on the first letter of their name. This also eliminates re-prints of badges that “weren’t found” (but were actually there). We are grateful for our chamber of commerce partners who continue to request this service from us!

Spigot Labs provided the Northglenn Food Truck Carnival with our Cashless Payments solution. 3,779 participants loaded credit card or cash payments onto their wristband and purchased beverages at the event with just a tap of that wristband. Beverage purchases supported the Northglenn Community Foundation and revenue increased 7% over last year which employed the traditional method of tokens. We were also able to track specific products by time like we do for our Taste Tracking events.

Finally, RFID in a trade show environment. We’re facilitating business connections via name badges for 300 attendees and 40 exhibitors next week. Attendees and exhibitors are able to track who they met and who they want to follow up with just by tapping their badge. They also have the ability to rate each connection and take notes to help continue the conversation efficiently. We love that Spigot Labs helps event stakeholders focus on the experience and relationships instead of the technology.

We’re looking forward to supporting the connections at your next event!
