How to Publish Your Sailing Story on Spinnaker Magazine

We welcome all sailing enthusiasts to blog on Spinnaker. Here’s a quick guide.

We’re looking for articles about sailing, traveling around the world, yachts, yachting apparel and all yacht-related topics.

Step 1. Prepare your article.

  • Start with telling your exciting story. Write a blog post and think what would be interesting to read for our Spinnaker community.
  • Work on your headline. Catchy headline will define if the article will be opened and read. So pay a extra minute or few thinking on it.
  • Use high quality photos and visuals on your article. If you lack of good content, we recommend to use sites like https://unsplash.com/
  • Hashtags. You have only 5 for you article so think which you’ll use. We also encourage you to use #spinnakemagazine hashtag to help our community to grow.
  • Share with a friend. It’s always nice to have some friendly edit before publishing the story. A friend’s look might give you few ideas on how to make the article better and he might find some grammar mistakes in text (we’re all humans and it’s completely nrmal to miss a letter or missspel a word).
  • Stay in good mood! You know, that you’re doing a great thing by expressing your thoughts and sharing your experience. So stay positive and keep upbeat.

Step 2. Sent your blog post.

  • Send your draft or link to the published article to spinnakermagazine@gmail.com via email, with a short description (one-two sentences) of what your article is about.
  • Request adding your article to Spinnaker Magazine publication. Here’s how.
  • We will review the article and get back to you within 1–2 business days.

Step 3. Enjoy and share.

When your article gets posted — it’s time to enjoy it and share with your friends. Use sharing buttons or just post a link to your Facebook/Twitter etc.
