Hello and welcome back to the Spiralbound newsletter. We’re closing in on the end of the year, which feels incredible. The heat came on fully in my building this past week, and the radiator in my bedroom must have been broken, because the room filled with steam. I caught it about 20 minutes later and could just turn it off — and the super was in the hallway — but it was dramatic, and I’m going around talking about it all the time. Anyway, here’s what we’ve published since our last newsletter. I think it’s all pretty great — see if anything catches your eye!

Recuerdos, by Anna Moriarty Lev

“But also, I didn’t want my mom to be too tired to do this — her thing that was so her, that she loved doing, that I loved doing with her…”

**

A Very Raggedy Halloween, by Steve Teare

“I had a sneaking suspicion that when I was all dressed up as Raggedy Andy, I wasn’t going to look very scary…”

**

Is the Tooth Fairy Independently Wealthy? by Dekera Greene Rodriguez

“It might hurt, but I’m right here. No, she won’t wake you up. No, I won’t pull it out. There won’t be that much blood, if any. We can take a picture for Joshua…”

**

Saturn Return, by Jenny Jedeikin

“What can I say, I made a stupid mistake…”

**

That’s all for now, but thanks for reading, and we’ll be back this week with more! In parting:

-Edith Z.
